but i also see forums of it being malicious. thanks for the help if u did help but if u are trying to ♥♥♥♥ up my game files i will post another comment i have seen mixed reviews of chromium being good, being better etc. Chromium itself is a completely legitimate program" so i am going to scan it with windows defender and run steam to see if the files are legit. In your case it was installed on your PC an injected with malicious code.
It was designed to be open source, meaning you can tweak it in all sorts of ways.
